Organic Lawn

Our 100% organic lawn care services recondition the soil and completely eliminate the use of chemicals and pesticides to provide a beautiful lawn that is safe for your family, pets and the environment. We are one of the only businesses in New Jersey accredited by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) to offer true organic lawncare. Please note that we are only able to offer our organic lawn care programs in conjunction with regular mowing services. Maintaining an aesthetically pleasing organic lawn requires special mowing practices, hand-weeding and regular scouting, and we have found that handling the mowing is the only way for us to achieve the results our customers expect.

Organic Lawn Care Programs
Below is a general overview of our organic lawn care program. Your actual program may vary as it will be based on your individual site analysis and soil test results.
• Soil Testing and Analysis
• Spring Organic Fertilization and Over-seeding
• Spot Hand-Weeding and Seeding
• Scouting and Monitoring for Pests
• Natural Pest Control Using Biological Products (as needed)
• Fall Organic Fertilization
• Fall Aeration and Over-Seeding
• Top-Dressing with Screened Compost (as needed)

Lawn Renovations
For lawns previously under chemical management, we may recommend renovation work to rejuvinate the soil and turf. For lawns that have not recently been treated with chemicals, renovation work may also be needed to address soil or weed problems and build a thicker, healthier turf. We use select high-quality, disease and insect-resistant turf varieties which enable us to build a healthy, thick lawn without chemicals. Below are the practices we use in renovating lawns. We will use a combination of these methods depending on the conditions we are trying to address.

• Verticutting/Dethatching
• Soil Compaction Alleviation
• Regrading
• Top-Dressing with Screened Compost
• Soil Nutrient/pH Amendments
• Seeding With High-Qualilty, Disease and Insect-Resistant Varieties

Lawns are one of our specialties and we can help you diagnose any turfgrass issues. If you have had construction and need a new lawn installed, please call us for a proposal. We install all of our lawns from seed which allows us to select ideal varieties for the site and future maintenance conditions.
