Organic Maintenance Program
Below is a general review of our organic maintenance programs. Your actual program may vary slightly as it will be based on your individual site analysis and soil test results.

Lawn Renovations
For lawns previously under chemical management, we may recommend renovation work to rejuvinate the soil and turf. For lawns that have not recently been treated with chemicals, renovation work may also be needed to address soil or weed problems and build a thicker, healthier turf. We use select high-quality, disease and insect-resistant turf varieties which enable us to build a healthy, thick lawn without chemicals. Indicated below are the practices we use in renovating lawns. We will use a combination of these methods depending on the conditions we are trying to address.

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
We are a full-service landscaping company. We provide our organic lawn care programs in conjunction with full-service maintenance because successful organic lawn care is dependent on the use of specific cultural practices. We also work with homeowners who mow their own lawns following our specific cultural recommendations. Proper mowing practices are an essential component of organic lawncare. Organic lawns should be maintained at the optimum height for healthy turf growth and weed suppression, which is 3-3.5 inches. During the season we may recomend a higher or lower cutting height in response to site and weather conditions. Grass clippings and early fall leaves should be mulched into the lawn with mulching mowers when possible to return the nutrients to the soil and lower fertilizer needs. Our mowing crew monitors the lawn, scouts for insects and disease and hand weeds during mowing visits.
